He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Paulson and Hildur Paulson (Stark); his former wife Beatrice "Bea" Hallin; his stepson Richard Bergeron; his grandchildren, Javan Paulson, Noah Weiss and Jeffrey Zutz; his great grandchild Hosea Wilhelm; and his siblings, Ann McLachlan Bette Boman, Helen Ranstrom and Robert Paulson.
He is survived by: his wife Leona "Lee" Nord; and his children, David Paulson (Rhonda) of Warroad, MN, Donald Paulson of Redlands, CA, Douglas Paulson (Lesley) of Duluth, MN, Debra Paulson of Avon, MN and Deb Zutz (Loren) of Warren, MN. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
