He was predeceased by: his parents, George Matz and Edna Matz (Johnson); and his sister-in-law Roberta Stengl. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Stengl; his son Marcus Matz (Kelsie); his grandchildren, Grayson, Parker and Alexander; his siblings, Jim Matz, Judy Webster and Jeff Matz (Sue); his in-laws, Shirley Minnick (Doug), Richard Stengl (Nancy) and Jim Stengl (Darlene); and his friends, Russ and Laurie Steer.

IN LIEU OF FLOWERS: Memorials are preferred to Grace United Methodist Church or North Valley Health Center.
