He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Wakefield and Agnes Wakefield (Rafinski); and his siblings, Raymond, Joseph, Edward, James, Mike, Florence, Vivian and Dolly.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Walters; his children, Judy Kaczor (Paul), Jill Ugrich (Steve), Dennis Wakefield Jr. and Douglas Wakefield; and his sister Doris Groce. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; extended family.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (315 SW 21st St, Grand Rapids, MN 55744). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
