He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Mekash; his daughters, Stacie Clark (Paul) and Margo Lee; his grandchildren, Kendra, Kolton, Noah and Alice Clark; his nieces and nephews, Shar Peterson, Natalie Olson, Nikki Ohnsorg, Karrie Rugland, Emily Summach, Cierra Mekash, Travis Hetteen, Mathew Edman, Andrew Edman, Austin Mekash, Allen Mekesh, Scott Mekash and Tyler Mekash; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Mekash, James Mekash, Mike Hetteen, Mark Mekash, Marilyn Edman (Dan), Anna Mekash (Robert), Bonnie Mekash (John), Janet Hetteen (Mike) and Shelly Mekash (Mark).
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Helgeson Funeral Home (1207 3rd St NE, Roseau, MN 56751). A prayer was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Riverside Lutheran Church (17989 MN-89, Wannaska, MN 56761).
