It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vanice Mae Bakko of Wanamingo, Minnesota, born in Shawano, Wisconsin, who passed away on June 14, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harry Vandree and Elsie Vandree (Knitt); her former husband Dan Behnke; her children, Bret (Jen) and Michele (Chris); her husband Gary Bakko; her stepchildren, Twila (John), Karla, Mark and Tonya (Mike); her grandchildren, Josh, Sophie, Ryan, Bennett, Angela, Andrea, Ann, Lindsey, Robert, Zach, Sam, Tucker, Ava and Max; and her great grandchildren, Nate, Nick, Natalee and Abigail.
With two special circles of friends, Van attended yearly informal reunions, which recently became monthly "Zoom-unions" due to COVID-19.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
