He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter O. Solberg and Minnie Satren Solberg; his wife Trudy; his son James; his siblings, Dolores Steege, Mary Ann Scharpen and Gary; and his brothers-in-law, Lloyd Steege, David Opfer and Duane Scharpen.
He is survived by: his sons, Paul and Jon; his grandchildren, Brianna (Steve Brummer), Lindsay, Daniel, Aaron, David and Abigail Solberg (Jay Popenhagen); his great grandchild Colton; his siblings, Merrill Solberg (Becky) and Pat Opfer; and his sister-in-law Gail Solberg.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Disabled American Veterans, St. Judes Children's Hospital and The National Dairy Shrine.
