She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Newton and Martha Sophia Marlette (Vahlsing); her husband Dick R. Bruns; her son David Scott Bruns; and her siblings, Lorraine, Dorthy, Ira, Ervin, William, Doran and Merle.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Bannick (Ron) of St. Peter, Rich Bruns (Joanne) of Hinckley, Don Bruns of Belle Plaine and Cari Haug (Jason) of Brandon, SD; her grandchildren, Alysha Reed (Rodney), Nathan Bannick (Stacey), Emily Travaille (Eli), Meghan Bannick (Alex Hennek), Mike Bruns (Tina Faur), Mark Bruns (Jocelyn), Katie Linden (Tom), Matt Bruns (Desta Bedor), Ben Bruns, Keshia Bruns, Alex Haug (Shannon), Carter Haug and Taylor Haug; and her sister Lois Osborn of Madelia. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
