He was predeceased by: his parents, Daisy Zempel (Berglund) and Avoldt Zempel; and his brother Roger Zempel. He is survived by: his wife Hazel; his children, Robert (Tommy), Steve, Alan (Bonnie) and Michelle Michaud (Bradley); his stepsons, Jim Calaman (Tammy) and John Calaman (Alicia); and his grandsons, Nick (Shayla), Josh (Dan), Austin Michaud (Kimberly) and Mike Calaman (Jamie). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
