He was predeceased by: his mother Pauline; and his brothers, Robert, Duane and Roger. He is survived by: his wife Polly; his daughters, Athena Hopkins (Trevor), Ann Humphrey (Taylor) and Josephine Aitken; and his siblings, Joe Aitken (Margo), Bob Aitken (June) and Sandee Haugene (Steve). He is also survived by relatives, and friends.
