He was predeceased by: his parents, Rose Splichal (Dvorak) and Leonard Splichal; his sister Lorraine Karstens; and his brother-in-law Bill Karstens. He is survived by: his wife Doris Czycalla; his children, Scott Splichal (Shari) of Walker, Eric Splichal (Cherry) of Bemidji and Sandra Rittgers (Craig) of Park Rapids, MN; his grandchildren, Chris Splichal, Megan Cox (Danny), Ben Splichal (Nikki), Marisa Olson (Luke), Justine Thompson (Thad), Bill Splichal and Justin Splichal; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Alexis, Natalee, Ethan, Allison, Carter, Natalia and Jax.
