He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille Simon; his brother Donald; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Cameran and Dorothy Orth. He is survived by: his siblings, Leonard (Edna) of Melrose, Eymard (Lucille) of Melrose, Marian Cameran of Moorhead, Elmer (Delores) of Sauk Centre, Phil of St. Cloud, Millie Morgel of Waite Park, Richard (Mary Ann) of Sauk Centre and Dorothy M. Orth of Sauk Centre; and his sister-in-law Jenny Orth of Sartell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
