He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence P. Hiltner and Rose Marie Hiltner (Moening); his brothers, Daniel Hiltner and Paul Hiltner; and his sister-in-law Terese Hiltner.
He is survived by: his children, Andrea Garcia (Manuel) of Valencia, Spain, Michael Hiltner (Kari) of Waconia and Reed Hiltner (Kirsti) of Centerville; his former wife Cheryl Ellingson (Salk) of St. Cloud; his grandchildren, Marcos, Emma, Owen, Emmett, Isla, Henrik and Kaija; his siblings, John Hiltner of Hickory Hills, Illinois, Judy Stueve (Dave) of Albany, Katie Peschel (Steven) of Victoria, Louie Hiltner of Wayzata, Darlene Gruenke (Dennis) of Kerrick and Tom Hiltner (Pat) of Freeport; and his sisters-in-law, Rita Hiltner of Circle Pines and Amy Hiltner of Richmond.
