With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Schimmele (Waite Park, Minnesota), born in Mapleton, Minnesota, who passed away on January 10, 2020 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Schimmele and Sophie Schimmele (Fischer); his wife Shirley Ann Hodge of Minnesota Lake, MN; and his siblings, Elmer (Elverna) and Viola (Gerald).
He is survived by: his children, Steven of New York, NY and Mary of St. Cloud.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to organizations working for a cure to Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia like the Lewy Body Dementia Association of Lilburn, GA or the Cure Alzheimer's Fund of Wellesley Hills, MA.
