It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shon Hotakainen of Wadena, Minnesota, who passed away on October 4, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Hotakainen and Gloria Hotakainen (Pierce); and his brother Leon Hotakainen. He is survived by: his spouse Carrol Ellingworth; his daughter Jadah Canoy-Hotakainen of Detroit Lakes; the mother of his child Linda Kraft; his daughters, Nacishia Rinde (Josh) of Crosby, Megan Dunbar (Daryl) of Wadena and Karri Sherman (Jordan) of Wadena; his grandchildren, McKenna, Isabella, Mayson, Alayna, Lydia, Brayden, Natalie, Serenity, Grant and Wyatt; and his siblings, Lance Hotakainen, Duane Hotakainen, Scott Nickolauson, Jay Hotakainen, Betty Hotakainen, Mary Dorenbush, Nancy Benson and Cindy Nickolauson-Fincher.
