He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Reed and Martha Reed (Gabler); his wife Clara Reed (Dee); and his children, Wendell Reed and Teri Reed.

He is survived by: his son Corey; and his mother-in-law Rose Busker. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nephews, and a niece.
