He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Brown and Hazel Brown (Fuller); his in-laws, Raymond and Dorothy Helmrichs; his sister Doris Beach; and his brothers-in-law, Gerald Beach and Fred Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Helmrichs of Deer Creek; his children, Brenda Hoffman (David) of Lebonan, OR and Joseph of Deer Creek; his grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Brown (Dan), David Brown (Nicki), Nicholas Beach and Desirae Hoffman; his great grandchildren, Tyler David Brown and Levi Richard Brown; and his siblings, Ruth Miller of Wadena, Ernest Brown Jr. of Staples and Lyle Brown of Menahga.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Karvonen Funeral Home ~ Wadena (419 2nd St NE, Wadena, MN 56482). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church ~ Deer Creek (221 Clark St N, Deer Creek, MN 56527).
