She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Heltemes and Doris Heltemes (Fronk); her husband Melvin Poppe; her siblings, Judy Wiebesick and Wayne Heltemes; and her parents-in-law, William and Alvina Poppe (Weaver).
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Jenkins (Lance) of Fargo, ND and Bill Poppe (Brandy) of Wadena; her siblings, Joyce Weiher (Dwayne) of Bemidji, Betty Kne of Murfreesboro, TN, Vern Heltemes (Gigi) of Blackduck, Carol Weiher of Boone, ND and Gail Moore (Tom) of Fargo, ND; and her great grandchildren, Erich Schuessler and Carrie Vaughan. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel (205 4th St SW, Wadena, MN 56482). A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Ann's Catholic Church (514 1st St SE, Wadena, MN 56482).
