With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Carter of Wadena, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 6, 2025 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carter and Ruby Carter (Greene); his mother-in-law Elizabeth Schmainda; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Salmi, Oscar Malik and Susan Barutt.
He is survived by: his wife Audre Poeschel (Barutt); his children, Allysa Parrott (Skip), Samuel James Carter and Jae Carter; his grandchild Shayna (Nevada); his son Blaise (Victoria); his great grandchildren, Haizleigh and Braelynn; his sisters, Sharon Poole (Jeff), Jill Kendrat (Mark) and Chyrise Ney (Ken); and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Salmi, Karen Malik, Brenda Tomsche (Steve), Jane Becken (Thor), Mary Koch (Fred), James Barutt and Bob Barutt (Wendy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southbrook Baptist Church ~ Wadena (1842 2nd St SW, Wadena, MN 56482). A prayer was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
