We are sad to announce that on October 26, 2024, at the age of 67, Edwin Joseph Monroe of Wadena, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Edwin may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Isabelle Turney (Monroe) and Marvin Turney; and his siblings, Lee Turney (Patti), Russell Turney (Linda), Ronald Turney (Joan), Phyllis Yingling (Earl), Ruth Wright, Evelyn Monroe and Elaine Saccoman (Sam).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Onigum Community Center (8825 Onigum Rd NW, Walker, MN 56484). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. John's Episcopal Cemetery.
