He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Chase and Gertrude Chase (Palmer); his former wife Marcella Marsh; his children, C. Richard, Robert and Angela; his brother Roger; his stepdaughter Lynnette Schafer; and his sister-in-law Beulah "Be" Gunelson.
He is survived by: his grandson Joe Holweger; his wife Gladys; his daughters, Monica Ostermann (Ron) of Moorhead and Carol Holweger (Gary) of Rockport, TX; his siblings-in-law, Margaret Chase of Wittenberg, WI, Norma Bailie of Galesburg, IL and Phillip Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; his stepchildren, Cynthia Sammons (Scott) of New Hope and Chris Hansen of Zimmerman; and his stepson-in-law James Schafer of Austin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church - Wadena (403 2nd St SE, Wadena, MN 56482). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery - Dl (515 US-59, Holloway, MN 56249).
