It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Mertens of Wadena, Minnesota, who passed away on October 2, 2020, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Fredrick Mertens. She is survived by: her mother Frances Mertens; her children, Melissa Cassell (Ryan), Jordan Mertens and Nicholas Mertens; her close friend Jeff Lorentz; her grandchildren, Chloe and Bianca; her siblings, Susan Weizel, Michael Mertens (Pamala) and Paul Mertens; and her stepchildren, Angela Lorentz and Alexander Lorentz. She is also survived by many friends; and three well loved cats.
