He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar H. Oelfke and Louise A. Oelfke (Stahlke); his wife Joan E. Kratley; his daughter Jill Swank; his son-in-law Rodney Anderson; his sisters, Joan Fettig and Susan Oelfke; and his siblings-in-law, Vera and Franklin "Bud" Kratley.
He is survived by: his children, Jacqueline Anderson of Houston, TX, Jeffrey Oelfke (Jane) of Edina, John Oelfke (Diana) of New Hope and Julie Lee (Jeff) of Farmington; his son-in-law Kevin Swank of Austin; his grandchildren, Carrie Anderson, Christopher Anderson, Claire Anderson, Garrett Swank (Rachel), Benjamin Swank, Daniel Swank (Sara), Andrew Swank (Michelle), Shea Oelfke (Lauren Davis), Megan Gates (Ryan), Katie Hachiya (Alex), Beth Oelfke, Eric Oelfke (Jenna), Allison Makozak (Sam), Abby Oelfke, Jacob Lee (Caitlyn Gjerde) and Michael Lee (Karsyn); his great grandchildren, Jace, Emily, Cameron, Beckham, Bauer, Addie, Pryor, Mila, McCoy and Rylee; his siblings, Kenneth Oelfke (Barb) of Rochester and Judith Neessen (Robert) of Alexandria; and his close friend Pat Bisher. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Memorials are preferred to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
