He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruben Stender and Anna Stender (Ehmke); his wife Marlys Tilly; his granddaughters, Aleaha and Holli Engle; his siblings, Marvanna Machemehl (Louis) and Norman Stender; his parents-in-law, Howard and Lucille Tilly; and his brother-in-law Ronald Tilly.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Stender (LuAnn) of Delano, Cindy Engle (Pat) of Winsted and Terry Stender (Sue) of Mayer; his grandchildren, Christie Hanson (Eric), Bethany Stender, Brandon Stender (Jessica), Shelby Stender and Joshua Stender (Amy); his great grandchildren, Aleaha Hanson and Caleb Hanson; and his sister-in-law Della Van Stender of Glencoe. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
