He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin Schwichtenberg and Beatrice Schwichtenberg (Mayer); his daughter-in-law Darlene Schwichtenberg; his parents-in-law, Gilbert and Mildred Wischnack; and his brothers-in-law, Gerald Wischnack and Ronald Wischnack.
He is survived by: his wife Vernetta (Wischnack); his children, Bruce Schwichtenberg of Chaska, Dale Schwichtenberg (Lynn) of Waconia and Beth Pogatchnik Jr. (Joe) of Cologne; his grandchildren, Matthew Schwichtenberg, Amy Anderson (Justin), Tina Barylak (Adam), Joe Pogatchnik III (Alison), Tanya Stolp (Sam), Courtney Shiring (Casey), Tiffany Halverson (Karsten), Katelyn Schwichtenberg and Bridget Schwichtenberg; his great grandchildren, Logan, Chase, Kylie, Aubrey, Michael, Joe IV, Rose, Lyanna, Jameson and Natalie; his siblings, Donald Schwichtenberg (Phyllis) of Waconia and Janet Veith (David) of Bloomington; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Schwichtenberg (Donald) of Waconia, Milan Wischnack (Elaine), Tom Wischnack (Monica), Genoa Henning (Dennis) of New Germany, Kevin Wischnack (Connie) of Buffalo, Angeline Wischnack and Geraldine "Geri" Wischnack. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
