He was predeceased by: his father Lyle Kaufhold. He is survived by: his mother Janice Kaufhold (Donovan); his daughter Melissa Vega (Enrique); his granddaughters, Victoria Vega and Bella Vega; his brother Lloyd Kaufhold (Deb); and his nephews, Jake Lindfors and Daniel Lindfors. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
