He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Stender and Marjorie Stender (Lindenberg); his brothers, Lydel "Butch" Stender and Ricky Stender; and his parents-in-law, Otto and Martha Kuntz.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis J. Kuntz; his sons, Mark (Jody Stender), Chad (Tricia Stender) and Jamie (MacKenzie Stender); his grandchildren, Brant Stender, Rilie Stender (Justin Carlson), Samantha Linton (Cody), Emma Gilmer (Dylan), Corbyn Stender and Brock Stender; his sisters, Connie Gatz, Sherrie Leuthner, Linda Stieve, Patsy Schug (Allen) and LuAnn Goede (Ron); and his brother-in-law Rodney Kuntz. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
