She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Lenzen and Alma Lenzen (Gruenhagen); her husband Marvin Hilk; her siblings, Pearl Fehlandt (Jack), Rhoda Ische (Bill), Florence Lindquist (Virgil), Louise Herrmann, Arlene Lenzen, Alfred Lenzen Jr., Howard Lenzen (Joyce) and Allen Lenzen (Evon); her parents-in-law, Theodore and Magdalena Hilk; and her siblings-in-law, Ralph and Emma Hilk.
She is survived by: her children, Joanne Ahlschwede (Dale), Robert Hilk (Connie), Ronald Hilk (Miriam), Barbara Rolf (John) and Mary Kroells (Darcy); her grandchildren, Jodi, Jennifer, Amanda, Rebecca, Andrew, Angie, Brent, Christina, Emily, Melissa, Jessica, Benjamin, Kelly, Stephanie, Bryce and Neal; and her brother-in-law Wendell Herrmann. She is also survived by 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
