He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecilia Eder (Logelin) and Lawrence Eder; his parents-in-law, Fred and Lenora Schmidt (JoAnn); his sons-in-law, Christopher Kulenkamp and Ronald Anderson; his grandson Anthony Nelson; his siblings, Florian Eder (Sally) and Dorothy Broeckert (Doug); and his sister-in-law Orlyn Schmidt (Ann).
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Schmidt; his children, Cynthia Dube (Jerome), Steven Eder, Rhonda Anderson (Larry Steinmetz), Brenda Lundquist (Mark) and Amy Vanderlinde (Jerome); his close friend Mardell Klingenhoets; his grandchildren, Jeremy Vanderlinde, Brianna Durkin (Eric), Nicholas, Alyssa, Abby Lundquist, Stacy Anderson, Rachel Anderson (Larry Williams), Dillon Dube, Rachel Nelson (Nick), Jill Gutierrez and Jennifer Partlow (Steve); his great grandchildren, Kyler Anderson, Lola Williams, Rory and Sullivan Durkin; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Schmidt (Joyce), Joyce Sheffield and Beverly Schmidt. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
When JoAnn's health declined from Parkinson's, he was her loving and dedicated caregiver until her passing at age 69 in 2007.
