He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Schaefer and Bernie Schaefer (Allen). He is survived by: his siblings, Steve (Barb), Patty (Chris) and Pam; his nephew Patrick; his nieces, Jennie, Tina (Bern), Kali, Stef and Kim; and his great-nephews, Colin, Parker and Camden. He is also survived by cousins and many friends.

Memorials preferred to Pheasants Forever, National Kidney Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
