She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Smits and Helen Smits (Van Dyke); her siblings, Mary Flandrena (Smits), Bob Smits and Bill Smits; and her sons, Michael Smithwick, Steven Smithwick and Thomas Smithwick.
She is survived by: her husband Patrick J. Smithwick; her grandson Charlie; her daughters, Lynn Smithwick of Blue Earth and Anne Walton (Jon) of Waconia; her daughter-in-law Rebecca Smithwick of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Joe Smithwick, Katie White (Patrick), Robert Smithwick (Heather) and Kellen Smithwick; and her great grandchildren, Morgan White, Lillian, Madeline, Elizabeth and Logan Smithwick. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
