He was predeceased by: his grandparents, O. L. (Swede), Helen Pierson (Jorgensen), E. J. Harris (Pete) and Norma J. Harris (Rothones). He is survived by: his wife Jean; his sons, Boston and Colton; his parents, Wes Pierson and Sherry Pierson of Sioux Falls, SD; his sister Amy Zens (Josh) of Salem, SD; his parents-in-law, Floyd and Chris Neys of Pingree, ND; his siblings-in-law, Andy Neys (Leigh) of Aberdeen, SD, Tom Neys (Tammy) of Bonney Lake, WA and Sara Neys of Loveland, CO; his nieces and nephews, Olivia, Clara, Norah, Andrew, Landon, Atticus and Broderick; and his uncles, Marvin Harris and Barry Martin. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and so, so many friends.
Carl was allergic to flowers, so in lieu of flowers, please consider bringing a bouquet of donuts for attendees, or make a donation in Carl's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
