It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Kreye (Wabasha, Minnesota), born in Lake City, Minnesota, who passed away on September 12, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Befort and Laura Befort (Kohn); her son John Kreye; her grandson Timothy "TJ" Kreye; her sister Yvonne Baker; and her family, Daniel, Gregory and Charles.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Kreye (Linda), Lori Kreye, Julie Kreye, Daniel Kreye (Sharon), Greg Kreye and Charlie Kreye (Cindy); her daughter-in-law Diane Kreye; her grandchildren, Rececca Kreye, Matthew Kreye (Crystal), Kimberly Nichols (Neal), Karolyn Krucek (Chris), Katelyn Fidler (Matthew), Jayna Kreye (Wade Wilcher), Colton Kreye (Brooke Schroeder), Sarah Fincher (Drew), Amy Denikas (Jason), Jennifer Nadelhoffer (Nathaniel), Tiffany Stankiewicz and Andrew Kreye (Alyx Ayers); her great grandchildren, Jaden, Arianna, Zephyr, Atreyu, Addison, Marlee, Mabel, Maryn, Ross, Ethan, Nathan, John, Chloe, Lucas, Delilah, Amelia, Emma, Alexandra, Isaac, Bryce, Anna and Maverick; her siblings, Florence Roemer, Alvin Befort (Miyoko) and Anthony Befort (Mary Lou); her brother-in-law Dean Baker; and her husband Benny Kreye. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
