She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl William and Wilhelmina Friske (Deichler); and her brothers, Carl and Harold. She is survived by: her former husband Andrew Towey of Rochester; her sons, Edward Towey (Anne) of Lake City and Steven Nelson (Josie) of Wabasha; and her stepson Malen "Buzz" Nelson (Gillian) of Salinas, CA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
