It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy M Walter of Wabasha, Minnesota, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Haubrich (Kelly) and Joseph Haubrich; her husband Wallace J. Walter; and her children, Kathryn Nelson and Mark Walter.
She is survived by: her sons, Jeffery Walter (Kathy), Thomas Walter (Carol Bell), John Walter (Melissa) and James Walter (Michelle); and her grandchildren, Laura Kropp (Aaron), Lisa Brown (Seth), Ashley Drietz (Ben), Brooke Irhke (Josh), Meghan Anderson (Matt), Jack Walter, Gabe Walter, Anna Walter and Michael Drouches (Anna). She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and she was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Abbott Funeral Home & Crematory (236 2nd St W, Wabasha, MN 55981). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Felix Catholic Church (117 3rd St W, Wabasha, MN 55981).
