She was predeceased by: her parents, Loddy Brabec and June Brabec; and her brothers, Tim and Tyrone. She is survived by: her close friend Glen Seopa of Cook, MN; her children, Loddie Krepps of Kirksville, MO, Larry Schechinger (Susan) of Eveleth, MN and Joe Schechinger (Dusty) of Mt. Iron, MN; her grandchildren, Prophet Krepps, Niles (Sara), Ethan, Chloe Schechinger, Hunter (Madelyn) and Carter Thome; her great grandchildren, Manuel and Kaysen; her brothers, Ted Brabec (Chris) of Finlayson, MN, Todd Brabec (Karen) of Siren, WI and Trent Brabec of New Richmond, WI; her sisters-in-law, Darlene Brabec of Prior Lake, MN and Gail Brabec of Lincoln, NE; and her nieces and nephews, Travis, Jason, Aaron, Nicholas, Benjamin, Tonya, Leah, Stephanie, Kelly, Gretchen and Heidi.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests that memorial gifts be made in Rita's name to the Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary in Orr, MN.
