He was predeceased by: his parents, Sulo Tuomela and Helmi Tuomela; his son Nick Tuomela; his wife Roberta Rae Tuomela (Johnson); his niece Tammy; and his friends, Bob, Jim and Rayma.

He is survived by: his brother Vernon Tuomela; and his children, William Tuomela (Amanda), Pete Ralston (Dawn), Greg Ralston (Tiffany) and Sylvia Ralston. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
