Ellen Joyce Niemi Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2024, at the age of 92, Ellen Joyce Niemi of Virginia, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Ben; her parents, Alex Malenius and Signe Malenius (Mahala); her brothers, Victor, Toivo, Eugene (Skip) and Edwin; and her son Richard "Rich".

She is survived by: her daughter Carol Sundberg (Tom); her grandchildren, Ashley Finner (Dustin), Leighton Sundberg, Benjamin Niemi and Ian Sundberg; and her great grandchildren, Keira and Mataeus.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hope Lutheran Church (5088 Hwy 21, Embarrass, MN 55732). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at the Waasa Cemetery.
