He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Hanke and Marion Hanke; his siblings-in-law, Gene Stueve and Carol Hanke; his nephew Calvin Stueve; and his brothers, Charlie and Mike.
He is survived by: his wife Laura; his sister Judy (Laura); his sons, Gary, Robert, Paul and Justin; his grandchildren, Brenden, Sabra, Michael, Andrew, Anthony, Jacob, Raey and Jesse; and his great grandchild Athena.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Smith Downtown Chapel (925 S 27th St, Billings, MT 59101). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Yellowstone National Cemetery (55 Buffalo Trail Rd, Laurel, MT 59044). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at the Ray and Laura's.
