It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher John Ascher (Victoria, Minnesota), born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Jim Ascher; and his nephew Chris Selchow. He is survived by: his wife Susan Ascher; his siblings, Mark (Melissa), Mike (Erin), Corinne Shepherd (John), Therese Adams, Kathryn Selchow (Steve) and Elizabeth Stroner; his nephews, Jim Shepherd (Erika), Michael, Nick Selchow, John Ascher, Ben Ascher and Will Ascher; his great-nephew Declan Shepherd; and his nieces, Alexis Ascher and Catherine Stroner.

The devastating diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer's in 2021 led them on an unexpected path of how to live with ever changing constraints on their daily life.

“Aschers: there are no words that can express our sadness for you and your family. We met Christopher and saw him a few times at various events with Sue. He was my father in law’s buddy at the adult daycare center in Waconia. My father in law also suffered from Alzheimer’s. I believe they brought one another joy while in each other’s company. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time and in the days ahead. 🙏 ❤️”
