He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Spence and Valdah Spence (Oachs); his wife Grace Nelson; his sister Shirley Reid (Earl); and his sister-in-law Judy Spence.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Spence (Terri) of Vernon Center, Jeff Spence of Romania, Linda Collin of Cape Coral, FL, Janet Othoudt (Terry) of Vernon Center, Lori Spence of Vernon Center and Gary Spence (Courtney) of Mankato; his brother Robert Spence (Carol) of Eugene, OR; and his sister-in-law Norma Rydhome (Earl) of Brooklyn Center, MN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
