He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Speck and Emma Speck (Miller); and his brother-in-law Harlan Edwards. He is survived by: his siblings, Arlene Appel (Don), Margaret Speck, Sharon Edwards (Harlan Lentz) and Paul Speck; his nieces and nephews, Emily Edwards (Brock Fischer), Amanda Appel, Theresa Appel (Kevin Peplau), Bill Appel, Jason Appel (Krista Johnson) and Daniel Appel (Laura Fries); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Emma, Henry Appel, Liam, Briell and Conner Appel; and his stepchildren, Mike, David, Tom Brunz and Melanie Anderson.
