Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Violet Jessen of Verndale, Minnesota, born in Lakefield, Minnesota, who passed away at the age of 98, on October 17, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Zahorsky and Barbara Zahorsky (Kadorbeck); her husband Alfred; her daughter Betty Lou; her siblings, Arthur Zahorsky, Theodore Zahorsky, Philemeon Kuhn, Rose Bieuthien, Alice Kruger and Esther Foth; her great grandchild Xander Schmidt-Jessen; and her daughter Judith Rieck (Charles).
She is survived by: her children, Larry Jessen (Sharon) and Kerry Jessen (Kerry); her grandchildren, Paula Knapek (David), Trina Schultz (Dean), Melissa Kaye Rieck, Brent Rieck, Christopher, Chase, Zachary, Ethan, Rodney and Katelyn; her great grandchildren, Josh, Isabelle, Jaemon, Connor, Ella, Autumn and Emma; and her sister Marian Ann Werner. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, Violet's family asks that you send memorials to Awana Children's Ministry at the Verndale Alliance Church in Verndale, Minnesota.
