Walter W. Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter W. Smith of Underwood, Minnesota, who passed away on November 12, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brother Wallace; his parents, Ruth Smith (Duryea) and W. Paul Smith; his wife Arlene Smith; his sister-in-law Pat Wolf; and his son-in-law Richard Grenvik.
He is survived by: his children, Wesley (Helena) of Seattle, WA, David (Virginia) of Lexington, KY, Jeanne Felch (Donnie) of Wahpeton, ND and Dawn Barker (Randy) of Campbell; his grandchildren, Lisa Grenvik, Tim Grenvik (Regina), Dayna Grenvik (Craig), Megan Edgerly (Stuart), James Svendsgaard (Danielle), Allison Smith (Todd), Ryan Field (Vanessa), Megan Kugler (Daryl), Adam Barker (Megan) and Melissa Pitts (Steve); his siblings-in-law, John Wolf of Toms River, NJ. and Georganne Smith; his nieces and nephews, Noel, Lori, Will of Arkansas and Chris of Arkansas; and also Robert. He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren.
Which instilled a love of all aspects of farming; from raising animals, planting crops, trees and growing huge gardens, resulting in harvesting so many bountiful amounts of produce that he often times donated large amounts to the community.
