He was predeceased by: his parents, John Aune and Inga Aune; and his siblings, Jimmy, Lawrence Aune, Kathryn (Frank Maiolini), Ruth (Charles Estes, Sr.), Vernon (Helen Aune), Ione (Dale Klaessy), John Donald (Beverly Aune), Gudrun (Herb Otto), Mary (Julian Wold) and Charlotte (Ben Rhoades).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Windahl; his children, Barbara, Barb Jefferis (Kelly), William Aune (Miriam), Jana Deach (Sandy) and Daniel Aune; his grandchild Britta Knudsen (Keith); his children, Hannah, Patrick Jefferis, Marley, Isaac, Ezra Aune, Thea and Haakon Deach; his great grandchildren, Lachlan and Onora Little; and his grandchildren, Rylynn and Bowen Knudsen.
