He was predeceased by: his parents, Lennerd and Josephine (Simonson); his grandson Ryan Johnson; his siblings, Willmar (Betty), Milo (Thelma), Roy (Jean), Glen (Marlys), Dennis (Norma), Stubby (Mardell) and Lela Bothun (Erving); and his sister-in-law Darlene Samuelson.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hasse of Underwood; his daughters, Natalie Johnson (Kraig) of St. Peter, Teresa Ohren (Terry) of Ashby, Julie Walvatne (Daniel) of Dalton and Karla Mickelson (Vincent) of Elbow Lake; his grandchildren, Kourtney, Trent, Tony, Tom, Chris, Matthew, Blake, Kelly, Danielle, Ashley, Davis, Kurtis and Riley; and his brother Ralph Samuelson of Parkers Prairie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
