He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Johnson and Clara Johnson (Singsaas); his children, LaRinda Behnke and Jason; his siblings, Gladys Johnson, Delores Marten and Richard "Ricky" Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Ruthie O'Donoghue, Arnie Johnson, Kiar Nielsen, Duane Marten, Blaine Pederson, Phil O'Donoghue and Lee Warwick.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara of Tyler; his children, Tim Johnson (Susie) of Granite Falls, La Donna Ahrens (Brett) of Elk River and Scott Johnson (Rhonda) of Tyler; his grandchildren, Corey, Aimee Johnson, Adam, Alissa Ahrens, Gretchen Tommeraasen (Troy), Brett Johnson (Rebecca), Sarah Gavin (Tim), Bethanni Jobe (Matt), Shawn (Katy), Kris Vos (Kayla), Robbyn Kerkaert (Matt) and Shelby Behnke; his sisters, Corlene Nielsen of Tyler and Marlene Pederson of Farmington, Minnesota; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Wiese of Gary, Marilyn Stark of Grants Pass, Oregon and Larry Warwick of Alvord, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
