It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavar Moon of Tyler, Minnesota, born in Lake Benton, Minnesota, who passed away on May 16, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Freeman and Carrie Freeman (Nordmeyer); her husband Milton Moon of Tyler, MN; her granddaughter Christie Moon; her daughter-in-law Carol Moon; and her siblings, Raymond Freeman, Isabel Hanson and Elva Schnell.
She is survived by: her children, Curtis of Ft Smith, AR, Eugene (Diann Koster) of Burnsville, MN, Colleen Wangsness (Marlin) of Sioux Falls, SD and Mona Schrader (Lloyd) of Sioux Falls, SD; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Armstrong (Andrew), Jeremy Moon, Chad Moon (Jeanna Oberg), Eric Wangsness (Joan Stasiak), Ryan Wangsness (Laura Crosby), Michael Wangsness (Heather Jackson), Staci Eliason (Brent) and Kari Hultgren (Chad). She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
She belonged to the American Cancer Society, serving as secretary.
