He is survived by: his brother Hans Nicholsen (Linda) of Sanger, Texas; his sister-in-law Sandi Nicholsen of Pipestone, Minnesota; his nieces and nephews, Deborah Brown, Hans Nicholsen, Jr., Jennifer Nicholsen, Kari Josten, Jeff Backer and Greg Backer; and his close friends, Tom Hillard, Leone Meyer and Barb Meyer.
