It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gail Newell (Tyler, Minnesota), who passed away on September 18, 2019, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Hansen and Ruth Hansen (Jensen); and her niece Megan Dupre. She is survived by: her children, Shawna Smith (Matt) of Breezy Point, Amie Lingen (Timothy) of Lake Benton and Justin Newell (Melissa) of Holland, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Felisha Smith-Carlson, Kara Newell, Brianna Andresen, Mady Smith, Brittany, Nathan Christensen, Conner, Kaden Lingen, Kyle and Brady Newell; her great grandchildren, Gavin, Gracelyn Koster, Haylee Wettstein and Peyton Erickson; and her sisters, Elizabeth Baxter (William) of Phoenix, Karma Dingman (Richard) of Littleton and Ruthann Dorn (Darwin) of West Bend, Wisconsin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Sioux Falls Humane Society.
