He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Venekamp and Berniece Johannsen (Petersen); and his siblings, Donna, Brian and Kevin Venekamp.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ann Ohl of Tyler, MN.; his children, Kyle Venekamp (Janel) of Marshall, MN, Lori Eddy of Fargo, ND, Joel Venekamp (Bridgit) of Sioux Falls, SD and Marc Venekamp (Brittany) of Elkton, SD; his grandchildren, Maxx Venekamp, Jacob Eddy (Sarah Stein), Jaclyn Hoy (Garrett), Jayson Eddy, Aaron, Brandon Kasch, Hudson and Liam Venekamp; his great grandchildren, Oliver Eddy-Stein, Charlotte Kasch and Addison Kasch; and his siblings, Mike Venekamp (Cynthia), Karen Venekamp and Patricia Harris. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
